Dinner with Locals

Long-table family dinner under a traditional pavilion

Get ready for a heart-warming evening that brings you closer to authentic Balinese village life. We begin by visiting a traditional Balinese family compound, where your local guide shares stories about the layout and history behind these unique homes, while the housewife prepares Balinese coffee or tea.

After the coffee break, we take a leisurely village walk to see daily life unfold — a traditional market, the village temple, and on toward the rice fields, where after a short walk you're greeted by lush paddies, tropical forest, and Mount Agung in the background.

As the sun sets, we head back to the family house for a home-cooked dinner. You'll be warmly welcomed by the family and their children, who will delight you with a Balinese dance performance — and you're welcome to join in.

Dinner menu: coffee or tea, Jukut Ares soup, rice with chicken bambu, chicken pepes, chicken sautee, shrimp pepes, fried shrimp, jukut urab, lawar papaya, tahu isi, tempe, berkedel jagung, and watermelon, pineapple and Jajan Bali for dessert.
